It’s been a while since we last shared news about our brave Oliś, and though much has changed, one thing remains the same — every day is still a battle, and every victory, no matter how small, is enormous.
Our little boy continues to fight with all his strength for what so many children do effortlessly — to move, to eat, to smile. Each day brings new challenges, but also new hope. We want to thank everyone who has supported us so far, and we ask, from the depths of our hearts, for your continued help. Unfortunately, the road ahead remains long, and the expenses are overwhelming.
But amid the difficulties, there are moments that remind us why we keep going — moments that shine like light through the clouds.
Thanks to hundreds of hours of intense rehabilitation, countless exercises, and above all, Oliś’s own incredible willpower, he has achieved something we once thought impossible: he now eats all his meals on his own.
It might sound like a small thing, but for us, it’s everything. Each bite he takes without assistance is a victory — a sign that all the sleepless nights, all the sessions, all the effort have been worth it. We’re now working intensively on helping him learn todrink fluids independently, and we have great hope that soon we’ll be able to remove the PEG feeding tube that still accompanies him.
And perhaps the most beautiful sign of progress —his smile.
He smiles more now. That simple expression, once so rare, has become our greatest reward. When we see it — bright, pure, full of joy — it reminds us why we keep fighting. That smile gives us strength on the days when exhaustion and worry threaten to take over.
In August, Oliś began systematic rehabilitation at a specialized center, under the care of an extraordinary team of therapists. Their dedication and professionalism are changing his life. With their help, he’s made visible progress inhead control and overall motor coordination — achievements that, for him, are as great as climbing a mountain.
His vision has also improved slightly, though it still requires daily, careful work and consistent therapy. Progress is slow, but steady — and that’s all we could hope for.
Outside the rehabilitation center, we also rely on many other specialists: an osteopath, a typhlopedagogue (specialist for visually impaired children), and a medical therapist. We also make frequent visits to doctors in various fields to ensure every aspect of Oliś’s health and development is cared for. These visits and additional therapies are essential — but they also come with heavy financial burdens.
Unfortunately, amid the good news, we’ve also had a setback: Oliś has developed post-traumatic epilepsy. This new diagnosis means even more medication, monitoring, and specialist care. It’s another fight layered atop so many others, but we refuse to give up.
Currently, we’re following a two-week on, one-week off rehabilitation schedule, allowing Oliś to undergo intensive sessions while giving his body time to rest and recover. This balance is crucial for him — too much strain could cause setbacks, but consistent work keeps his progress moving forward.
And progress is happening. Slowly, carefully — but undeniably. Every movement, every new reaction, every smile is proof that the fight is worth it.
Still, we know this journey will not end soon. Rehabilitation for children like Oliś must besystematic, comprehensive, and lifelong. The therapies cannot stop — even a short break can mean losing months of hard-earned progress.
The financial reality is staggering. A 12-day stay at the rehabilitation center costs around15,000 złoty, not including additional therapies, medications, or doctor visits. It’s an enormous sum, far beyond what we can manage on our own.
That’s why we continue to ask for your help.
Every donation, every act of kindness, every share of Oliś’s story makes an enormous difference. It allows us to keep going — to pay for therapy, to afford the specialists, to give our son a chance at a life where he can move freely, communicate, and live without pain.
Oliś’s determination is our greatest inspiration. Despite everything he’s been through — surgeries, setbacks, endless therapy — he greets each day with courage and trust. He has taught us what true strength looks like.
To all of you who have stood by us — thank you. Your support, prayers, and generosity are what make these small miracles possible. We ask you to please continue this journey with us.
Because for Oliś, every step, every meal, every smile is not just progress — it’s proof that love, hope, and persistence can change a life.
💛 Thank you for being part of our fight for Oliś’s tomorrow.
