It all began so suddenly. After a joyful family vacation, Adaś seemed like any other energetic nearly seven-year-old. But on August 9th, everything changed. He woke up with severe pain behind his ear. At first, doctors believed it was a simple ear infection. He was given antibiotics, and his parents hoped for quick recovery.Instead of improving, his condition worsened. Vomiting, diarrhea, headaches—each new symptom brought more fear. His ear looked clear, but his parents’ anxiety grew by the day. Specialists followed—first an ENT, then a neurologist. A Shocking Discovery
Tests showed nothing unusual—until doctors ordered a CT scan. That scan shattered their world: a 5-centimeter tumor was growing in Adaś’s cerebellum. Surgeons were clear—his life was in immediate danger. Only surgery could save him.
On August 28th, Adaś was wheeled into an eight-hour neurosurgical operation. The risks were terrifying: cardiac arrest, death, or permanent neurological damage—loss of speech, memory, or even the ability to walk.
But Adaś proved himself stronger than anyone imagined. The very next day, he woke up without visible neurological damage. He spoke clearly, saying he wanted to go home by the weekend. With the help of a physical therapist, he took his first steps again. His parents called it nothing short of a miracle.
Complications and Devastating News
But the road was far from smooth. Soon, cerebrospinal fluid began to accumulate around his surgical wound. Doctors drained it with a needle and syringe. A few days later, the fluid leaked again, requiring additional stitches. OnSeptember 7th, reoperation was necessary.
Just when his family thought the worst was behind them, on September 9th came the most devastating news of all: histopathology confirmed the tumor was malignant. Doctors explained that it was either
medulloblastoma or high-grade infantile glioma—both aggressive brain cancers.
The Battle Ahead
Today, Adaś is at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, awaiting further tests and the start of oncological treatment. The plan is clear:chemotherapy and radiation therapy, followed by long rehabilitation and additional therapies. It will be exhausting, painful, and overwhelming—not just for a little boy, but for his entire family.
And yet, Adaś remains brave. He dreams not of big things, but of simple joys: to play ball in the yard again, to laugh with his siblings, to finally startfirst grade alongside his peers.
Every day, his brother Wojtek asks when Adaś will come home. His sister Oliwia misses him deeply. Their parents cling to hope, determined to make that day come as soon as possible.
A Family’s Plea
The cost of what lies ahead—oncological treatment, rehabilitation, therapies, and specialized care—will be overwhelming. For a family already stretched to the limit by worry and sleepless nights, it is a burden they cannot carry alone.
That is why they are reaching out, asking for help.
“Please help us save our son’s life,” they plead. “Every penny, every prayer, every share, every kind word means the world to us. We believe that together we can win this fight. We refuse to accept any other scenario.”
Fighting for the Future
Adaś is a wonderful, brave boy. He has already proven his strength, surviving surgery that could have taken everything from him. Now, he faces the fight of his life—a fight not only for survival but for the chance to live a normal childhood.
For his family, every donation is more than money—it is hope. Every act of kindness brings them closer to seeing their son healthy again. Every show of support reminds them that they are not alone in this battle.
Because no child should have to fight cancer. No family should have to face it without help. And no dream—like Adaś’s dream of kicking a ball with his brother—should be left unfulfilled.
Together, with compassion and generosity, we can help give Adaś the future he deserves: one filled with laughter, school days, and the love of his family—not hospitals, needles, and fear.
