Despite this success, the journey is far from over. Milenka continues to face diagnoses related to metabolic, liver, and genetic disorders. In the worst-case scenario, she may even require aliver transplant. Her early weeks, which should have been filled with discovery and first smiles, have instead been dominated by hospital stays, tests, and uncertainty.

The family is now home temporarily, preparing for a return trip to the hospital inApril 2025. This visit will provide crucial information regarding the severity of her metabolic, liver, and genetic conditions and determine how urgently a transplant or other specialized interventions may be needed. The uncertainty of these outcomes weighs heavily on Milenka’s parents.

Bartek, the family’s sole breadwinner, has had to stop working to care for the children and support Milenka during her hospital visits.
